About Me

Hi, I’m Andrew Bullen.

I am a Software Engineer, Manager, and Leadership Coach. I’m currently Head of AI Security at Stripe.

I primarily write and speak about engineering leadership, and how it intersects with Security, AI and Data Systems. I find that Security is as much a leadership & organizational challenge as a technical one. I’m passionate about building secure systems as a differentiator and an enabler.

Professionally, I have been at Stripe since 2016 (part of the furniture at this point) and previously led Stripe’s Data Platform and Privacy Engineering teams.

I live in Cambridge, MA with my wonderful fiancée and our two tuxedo cats.
